Curriculum is defined as instructional educational materials for an academic course of study for a particular content area or grade level, including any supplemental materials required by the curriculum. Account holders may request but are not required to receive pre-approval from the Tennessee Department of Education (the department) before using IEA funds for purchasing curriculum unless the purchase is for online curriculum. Regardless, documentation showing a supplemental item is required by the curriculum will be necessary either with a pre-approval request or with the quarterly expense report.
Please allow up to 5 business days for the department to process this form.
The department does not endorse any particular curriculum for the IEA Program. It is the responsibility of the account holder to thoroughly research curriculum options and make decisions that best meet the student's individual needs.
