2021 Electronic Health Record (EHR) Adoption Environmental Scan Provider Survey Information

The Department of Finance & Administration (F&A), Division of TennCare invites the Tennessee provider community to assist us by participating in this brief Electronic Health Record (EHR) Assessment Survey. Whether you are a current Medicaid provider or not, we respectfully request your valuable input on your current status of your EHR adoption, and how your practice or facility meaningfully uses EHR technology. We also are interested in your input regarding how you exchange data and other health information with other providers and entities such as the Tennessee Department of Health (TDH), East Tennessee Health Information Network (etHIN), and Tennessee Hospital Association (THA).

We anticipate this survey should take less than ten (10) minutes especially if you are acquainted with your healthcare computer system functions and usage. Responses are voluntary, but highly encouraged! Your feedback will allow us to assess the health information technology (HIT) landscape in the state. Please note the survey results will be aggregated and only used to successfully close out the Tennessee State Medicaid Health Information Technology Plan (SMHP) initiative with the Centers Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

In closing, your responses should provide us a view into understanding barriers of EHR adoption, promoting interoperability and connectivity across the state and to assist in planning for future enhancements.
